An audit for a channel that isn’t bringing in customers

Send us a link to your channel, and we’ll figure out why your episodes aren’t sending people to your website. We go over the findings on a short online call. The call is free, and Filip does the review himself.

What we check

Six areas where company channels most often lose viewers. For each, we note what we look at, the question we ask and what it tells us.

Channel review card

Sample, for illustration only

  1. 01

    Topics and demand

    needs work

    What we look at
Your episode list next to what customers in your category search for on YouTube.
    Question
Does the episode answer a question people actually search for?
    Sample entry
The episodes describe the product, while customers ask about the problem the product solves.
  2. 02

    The opening

    fix first

    What we look at
The first seconds of every episode and, with YouTube Studio access, the audience retention chart.
    Question
Does the opening hook viewers and deliver what the title promises?
    Sample entry
The episode starts with a logo and a greeting, so viewers don’t know why they should stay.
  3. 03

    Titles and thumbnails

    needs work

    What we look at
How the episode looks in search and suggested videos, next to the videos competing for the same click.
    Question
Does someone scrolling past have a reason to click?
    Sample entry
The title repeats the company name, and the thumbnail is a screenshot of a slide deck.
  4. 04

    Traffic sources

    working

    What we look at
Where viewers come from: search, suggested videos or subscriptions. The full breakdown is in YouTube Studio.
    Question
Does the channel reach people who don’t already know you?
    Sample entry
Viewers come mostly from search, so the topics match the questions people type in.
  5. 05

    Path to your website

    fix first

    What we look at
The description, pinned comment and links under each episode, and whether anyone tracks the clicks.
    Question
Does a viewer who wants more know where to click, and does anyone count those clicks?
    Sample entry
There’s no link to the website under the episodes, so the interest dies on YouTube.
  6. 06

    Publishing schedule

    working

    What we look at
Release dates from recent months and whether episodes come out on a fixed day of the week.
    Question
Do viewers know when the next episode will come out?
    Sample entry
Episodes come out regularly, on the same day of the week.

From a card like this we pick three changes to start with

  1. A new opening for the episodes: deliver the title’s promise in the first seconds and move the logo to the end.
  2. A tracked link to your website and a pinned comment under every episode, with clicks tracked.
  3. The next three topics, taken from questions your customers type into YouTube.

How it works

From a link to your channel to three changes you can make on your own. We can take over the channel, but you don’t have to hand it over.

  1. 01You

    Link to the channel

You send the link in the brief and choose the audit. Public channel data is all we need.

  2. 02Filip

    Review

Filip reviews the channel himself: topics, openings, titles and thumbnails, traffic sources, the path to your website and the publishing schedule.

  3. 03Together

    Online call

A short call where we show you what the data says and where the problem starts. The call is free.

  4. 04You

    Three changes

You get the three changes that matter most. Your team can make them, or your current agency can.

  5. 05Optional

    Hand it over to us

You can hand the channel over to us. Then we work under the done-for-you channel terms, with the guarantee written into the contract.

What we need

Less than you might think. The audit doesn’t commit you to anything.

minimum

A link to the channel is enough

From public data we can see the topics, titles, thumbnails, episode openings, descriptions, links and publishing schedule. That’s enough for the full review.

more detail

With access to YouTube Studio

If you give us the Viewer role in YouTube Studio, we’ll also see audience retention and traffic sources from your dashboard. You can remove access with one click after the call.

What happens after the call

Two paths. Both start with the same three changes.

A

You make the changes

You get the three changes that matter most. Your team or your current agency can make them. There’s no commitment, and the channel stays with whoever runs it today.

B

You hand the channel over to us

We take over the channel on the same terms as a new done-for-you channel. The price covers 4 long-form episodes and 30 shorts a month, plus research, scripts, voice-over, editing, publishing and reporting.

$9,500per month

Minimum term: 6 months. If we don’t hit the number in the contract within 6 months, we run the channel for 3 more months at no charge.

6 months to hit the target

3 months at no charge

The guarantee in months. The outlined months only kick in if we miss the number in the contract.

Questions about the audit

What exactly do you check?

Your topics versus what your customers search for, the first seconds of your episodes, titles and thumbnails, traffic sources, your publishing schedule, and whether there’s a link under the episodes that leads to your website.

Does the audit cost anything?

No. The call is free, and Filip does the review himself.

What do you need from us?

A link to the channel is enough. If you give us the Viewer role in YouTube Studio, we’ll also see retention and traffic sources from your dashboard.

An agency or someone on our team already runs the channel. Is that a problem?

No. After the call you get the three changes that matter most, and your team or your current agency can make them. There’s no commitment.

Can you take over an existing channel?

Yes, on the same terms as a new done-for-you channel: $9,500 per month, a minimum term of 6 months and the guarantee written into the contract.

Let’s find out what’s holding your channel back

The brief takes a few minutes. A link to your channel is all we need, and on the call we’ll show you what the data says.
